Keren Ilan Releases New Music Video For ‘This Morning, Yesterday’

Soulful-pop songstress Keren Ilan announces debut single ‘This Morning, Yesterday’, taken from her new EP of the same name, released on 19 Aug 2019. Watch here

New single ‘This Morning, Yesterday’ is a dreamlike, soulful pop song. Keren’s sweeping vocal tells the story of “how you can feel like you are the whole world for someone, and in another second feel the extreme opposite.”

Born in Vietnam and currently living and working in Tel Aviv, Israel, Keren has been exploring her musicality since the age of 12, when she first picked up a guitar. At the age of 17 she began writing her first songs, influenced by the indie, soul and folk.

As a teenager she listened to bands such as Radiohead and Modest Mouse amongst others, slowly developing her musical taste and honing her own style. Today she credits Angel Olson and Liana La Havas for having great influence on her writing.

Keren began writing music because of an inability to express herself, it became a new way to communicate her thoughts, feelings and ideas, much like a personal diary.

In 2015 she moved to Florence, Italy, to explore something new and began to play and write non-stop. After two years, she returned to Israel and began to study singer-songwriting at BPM School.

Now ready to reveal herself and her music to the world, Keren releases her first EP, ‘This Morning, Yesterday’ in Aug 2019.
