Since releasing his highly praised 2018 EP ‘<3‘, Hawaii-based singer and songwriter TimRose has seen his popularity spike around the world. With hundreds of thousands of streams on both YouTube and Spotify, as well as a rigorous touring process that involves more than 200 shows a year, the artist has returned with his latest funk-filled offering ‘LEFT ON READ‘.
Channelling the flair and tenacity of artists such as Prince and Parliament, Tim Rose’s obsession with smooth and soulful guitar licks comes out in full force on this new single. Bringing a bold and vibrant production behind him, this new release continues his impassioned love of the funk sound and gives us something to really let loose to.
Speaking about his new jam, which was produced by AndrewGreacen, Tim adds, “‘Left on Read’ is about dating through your smartphone and the pitfalls associated with getting to know someone through technology.”
The video for ‘LEFT ON READ‘ is the third release in a series of visual stories created by TimRose, culminating in a short film. It follows on from the neo-soul ‘PLEASEPLEASE‘ and ‘YOURTEAM‘.
Completely self-funding the aforementioned project, Tim has lived in a van for the last four years to save money and cover the expenses to record his debut album in New York – not a cheap return flight from Hawaii – and a reminder that sometimes you need to make gritty sacrifices in order to make your dreams come true.
