Q: Hi B, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

A: I’ve been good, focusing on the music while trying to maintain my sanity lol in this crazy game we call life.

Q: Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Found You”?

A: Yes of course, my latest single “Found You” was based on true events I’ve been through in life, the vibe of this song was to get listeners to realize we’re better off in life without certain people & if we see that we’ll be better off.

Q: Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?

A: Well just like any other song, I’ve released it based off of life experiences, so even though I wasn’t going through this hurt when I recorded it, I still lived it that’s how I was able to produce these feels. But it’s based off of me realizing I was doing just fine before that particular female came in my life.

Q: Any plans to release a video for the single?

A: Of course! In this industry, the music can only take you so far, the visuals bring the sound to life & that’s an important key to know as an artist.

Q: How was the recording and writing process?

A: Just like any studio session with me I have close friends who tell me if I’m trash lol & I’ve never actually written a song. I just spark up & isolate myself with the microphone & let it flow. This song was actually a freestyle & it took about 30 minutes to complete.

Q: What role does Miami play in your music?

A: Lol good question, Miami is a very, very, very interesting city. I’m 24 and I feel like I’ve seen it all living here. So, I’d say it plays a HUGE role because I take in all the experiences & mold it into my music.

Q: Do you tend to take a different approach when you are collaborating with someone else rather than working on your own?

A: 100% yes, at the moment I only have songs out with my homie “lilpreeme” we met on Instagram after I dropped my 1st single & he instantly wanted to work. I admired his sound & enthusiasm. When he first sent me a song, I had to keep in mind I don’t know him from a can of paint, so I only had the music to get inspiration from. I listened to what he sent me, put myself in his shoes & walked a few miles in them to really understand where he was coming from. After that I recorded two songs “hate or love me” & “tired of it” & I love both of them the same. Now my recording process is a little simpler. I already experienced a lot, so it really about me tapping into my “inner-wock” and pulling those emotions out.

Q: Does the new single mean we can expect a new material – how’s that coming along?

A: Yes 100% ! New project on my birthday!

Q: Any tentative release date or title in mind?

A:  It’s dropping on my birthday 08*21*19

And it’s called “wockwrld.”

Q: Would it be a completely departure from your previous work?

A: When I dropped my 1st song I already knew this industry is based off of what’s new so I have to make sure with every new project I bring a different sound to the table. PROGRESSION.

Q: Any plans to hit the road?

A: I want to record a song in Los Angeles California, Denver Colorado & Huston Texas, I like diversity and I feel like ill produce a different sound in a different city.

Q: What else is happening next in Babywock’s world?

A: Finishing my tape which has 1 out of 10 songs done lol traveling & curating new sounds but most important becoming something bigger then myself to spread a positive message to the youth. Live your life & don’t take anything for granted whether it be love, friends or family, stay true.
