The name is such because it witnessed the death of numerous laborers during the construction of the bridge at the time of WWII, under Japanese intervention. Presently, there are war museums to show you the city during the time of WWII. Apart from that, there are beautiful waterfalls, natural parks, caves, etc. to visit.

  1. Ayutthaya Historical Park

Thailand is also famous for the ancient ruins and you get the best of it in Ayutthaya Historical Park. Basically, it is the ruin of one of the largest cities of the ancient world, Ayutthaya. You can get a glimpse of world-famous Thai art and architecture here. There is a protected part by the UNESCO. Except that, the visitors are allowed to roam around the entire place and the most interesting of them all is Wat Mahathat, where you can find the head of Buddha, bulging out of the branches of a tree.
