Hi Adam, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

Hey! Thank you for taking the time to ask me a few questions. I’m great ! We’re excited for our upcoming concert and single release!

Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Goes On”?

“Goes On” is something I wrote and recorded in my apt here in Brooklyn. To me this song talks about how small acts of kindness can be really powerful. Although, I love it when someone finds their own meaning in the music.

Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?

I guess I started to notice more and more how powerful simple deeds can be. Even in my life, I find that some of the more lasting impressions have been made by basic human connection.

Any plans to release a video for the single?

Anythings possible!

How was the recording and writing process?

This song came together very naturally. The lyrics and melody just kind of poured out. We recorded the song in my apt and with the help of my good friend Alexi Bertholet who engineered and mixed we got something I’m really proud of.

What role does NYC play in your music?

NYC is the Mecca for music. The world’s greatest musicians in all genres live and play here and I’m lucky to be here experiencing what music has to offer both on and off the bandstand. I have definitely matured my music (and myself) here. Just being exposed to a wide variety of music and levels of musicians has really opened me up musically.

Does the new single mean we can expect a new material – how’s that coming along?

Yes we’ve got plenty more on the way!

Any tentative release date or title in mind?

Right now we’re looking at early next year for our next release.

Any plans to hit the road?

We’ve done some touring this year already and definitely plan to do some winter dates on the East Coast.

What else is happening next in BONOMO’s world?

We’ve got our single release concert on July 18 7pm at Joe’s Pub in NYC and plenty of NYC shows coming up.
