PREMIERE: Krister Linder shares cinematic “Cowboys & Snowdens”

Keeping up with our series of premieres, we are joining forces with Krister Linder for the release of the new visuals for “Cowboy & Snowdens,” a whimsical cinematic blend of melancholic soundscapes, the video’s imagery is reflective of Linder’s ambiguous lyrics.

About the song, Linder comments:

“When I first came to New York and started making the album, everything I saw was somehow saturated with art and poetry. Through my romantical lense, everything oozed with creative inspiration and freedom of expression. Eager to flow with this fresh current I got myself the latest smartphone and started making notes for the album, recording melody snippets and taking shots of the city. A couple years later, the company tied to my very smartphone was all over the news for being caught sharing the personal data of millions with the NSA. Then the whole Manning – WikiLeaks – Assange – Snowden thing happened and aggravated things further. It took two months on a small, rural island called Ingarö (loosely translated Nowhere Island) to get mentally and emotionally stable enough to return to these ‘Altered States’ of America, face the music (literally) and finish the album. ’Cowboys & Snowdens’ was my own way of processing, distilling and converting a personal sh*tstorm of epic proportions into gold.”
