Hi B, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

I’m great thanks, things are progressing, so I can’t complain.

Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Little Love”?

It’s my first official single since I signed with  2TE & Warner bros music, written & sung by the amazing Grace Tither and one my favourite tracks that I’ve produced in a while. It’s got a lot of heart behind it, and you can get that feeling through the vocals. Which is exactly what I love about producing music; being able to evoke emotion from the artist and have it resonate with the listeners too.

Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?

A conversation, a conversation about people,  relationships and different situations which we  have been in. My sessions usually begin with a conversation  then chords, melody then lyrics.

Any plans to release a video for the single?

No, There are no plans for releasing a video for this particular single

How was the recording and writing process?

The recording process was very easy and very organic because Grace is such a skilled songwriter, singer & vocal producer that she makes my job much easier and makes me getting my vision out into the music very easy.

What role does London play in your music?

It plays quite a big role in my music because The are so many different cultures with different types of sounds and music to pull inspiration and spark ideas from. You can hear it from my music, even me being a multi genre music producer comes from London being so multicultural.

Do you tend to take a different approach when you are collaborating with or remixing someone else rather than working on your own original material?

It’s  usually the same because even when I’m making my own music it’s still a collaboration to an extent because I’m the only one involved in the creation of the music. The only difference is that I lead the session because the idea and vision is coming from me so I have to orchestrate the whole session.

As your music keeps gaining much and much momentum – does that motivate you or it rather puts any pressure on you?

Knowing that people like my music definitely motivates me to make more and release more music. I love my music, I’m always just happy with being able to put out music so anything that happens after putting out the music is a bonus for me, so there is never really any pressure. It’s just always good to see what people like or don’t like because it helps me with refining and designing a winning sound.

Does the new single mean we can expect a new material – how’s that coming along?

Definitely, I’m going to be releasing a lot more music this year. Should be expecting two more tracks this year. Hopefully…

Any tentative release date or title in mind?

No dates yet but I have a track Called “What You Do” drooping in July sometime.

Any plans to hit the road?

Hopefully should have some dates coming  up soon.

What else is happening next in Blinkie’s world?

Just new music dropping from myself & my team/label ;PXL Records. Our first signing to the label- the talented “WhoIsOrion” has just dropped his first tack with us called “Freezing”, then I should be dropping a track with the “GURU” team thats also on my label.

I’ve got a couple artists that I’m working with that are not dance or house based. I’m just trying to get myself involved in different projects, for example im trying to get more involved with working with artist from “In House Records” which is is the world’s first fully functional record label to be launched in prison, created with and by prisoners. InHouse Records is a label for change- wishing to see safer communities, less victims of crime, and for prisoners; rehabilitation and employment with dignity and aspiration.
