Today, award-winning singer/songwriter Grace VanderWaal released her new single “Ur So Beautiful” – listen HERE. The track was co-written by Grace VanderWaal, Ido Zmishlany, Brittany Amaradio, and Sophie B. Hawkins. Along with the uplifting track, Grace and her friends shot the first visual on a handheld camcorder – watch it HERE.
“This song is romantic but it’s also empowering — it can be directed at anything or anyone,” says Grace. “’Beautiful’ is always used in feminine terms, but when I wrote this song it was originally about a guy…but it’s also kind of a note to self… a song to boost your confidence. Like, I know I’m beautiful… don’t I know that? I always try to hide it but then when I’m alone and am looking in my bathroom mirror, I know I’m beautiful. I’m good enough. I hope everyone feels that.”
Grace will be embarking on her U.S. headline tour this summer. The 23-city Ur So Beautiful Tourstarts at the Railbird Festival in Lexington, KY on August 10 and will make stops in major cities across the U.S. including New York City, Los Angeles and Chicago.
