VENTS alumni Lillen has returned with the release of her second single “Always almost,” a track that shows a much more confident vibe from the artist. Made up live instruments, this helps creating a much organic sound. Though it might seem like a vulnerable song the roughness in the production and sound you can hear some level of sarcasm in the chorus.

With her debut single “Fire”, she felt safe in her own darkness, but between the lines she wanted the listener to know it´s ok to get help, and that the realisation of a problem is the first step towards recovery.

“Always Almost” is about being that one person who gives off themselves but rarely get what they deserve in return. How many relationships today is a lot of talk but lacks action. Lillen believes the song “always almost” is general enough in its own specific way that it’s up to the listener to interpret the content and merge it into their own experiences in life.
