Old school drum and bass grooves underpin ethereal synths and pop chorus hooks in SEX CELLS blistering new single, ‘Love Is The Exit’. Produced by Dave M. Allen (The Cure, Pete Shelley, Sisters Of Mercy), the track comes hot on the heels of the band’s previous offering Modern Witchcraft, which was picked as Fresh Fave by 6Music legend Tom Robinson, and described by BBC DJ Emily Pillbeam as an ‘instant classic’.
Angular and paranoid, London-based SEX CELLS wield analogue electronics and 8-bit rhythms, creating atmospheric heavy pop that draws from early minimal wave and the animalistic energy of punk. ‘Love Is The Exit’ releases across all major streaming platforms on Friday the 12th of July via independent label Pretty Ugly Records (PIAS).
