Buzzy Vancouver BC based bedroom-pop artist Yung Heazy has cemented himself as one of the pillars of the emerging slacker pop scene on the world scale, drawing comparisons to modern millennial stalwarts Mac Demarco, Boy Pablo, Cuco and even being paralleled to The Beatles for his technical skill and swaggering soul. We’re thrilled to present his latest creative endeavor; a vibrant music video made for his hit single “Girl I’ll Take You Anywhere” which has garnered more than 2 million streams across Spotify and YouTube.

The video captures Heazy’s tongue-in-cheek dark humor and ability to create his own world, a signature ability of any great artist. The video was directed by renowned film maker Haoyan Of America, known for his stunning music video of Crumb’s “Bones.” And if that wasn’t enough to keep your attention the video features a cameo from local Canadian social media legend Larry The Enticer (@larryenticer), the beer-chugging, denim-wearing, snowmobile-riding daredevil that’s drawn the praise and following of millions across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and more.

On February 13th 2017 Jordan Heaney wrote and recorded, “Cuz You’re My Girl” for his girlfriend as a Valentine’s Day gift. Not thinking much, it was uploaded to Soundcloud under the moniker Yung Heazy. The track went on to amass over ten million streams in a few months with international interest following. 

Drawing strong comparisons to acts like Mac Demarco, The Beatles and the current wave of bedroom pop acts like Cuco, Clairo, Rex Orange County and Gus Dapperton, Heazy’s music melds elements of jazz, psych and pop with endearing lyricism and harmonies.  

A prolific artist, Heaney performs all instruments, records and mixes his extremely catchy yet unconventionally structured songs.
