Jenny O. Releases New Video (The Seeds Cover) | East Coast Tour w/ Faye Webster

Today, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jenny O. has shared a new song/video, a cover of The Seeds’ Can’t Seem to Make You Mine. Jenny’s lush vocals are layered with delicate melodies and harpsichord rhythms, resulting in a nostalgic yet contemporary take on the classic song for which she sings, plays bass, guitar, organ, harpsichord, and tambourine. Jenny recently finished recording her next full length in the studio and having performed alongside Father John MistyRodriguezLeon RussellBen HarperThe Proclaimers and many other greats, she will hit the road once again kicking off an east coast tour with Faye Webster next Tuesday, June 18 in Minneapolis.

I have always loved this song and heard playful call-and-response background vocals and alternate rhythms. So I played with the arrangement a bit and expanded the bridge and harmonies and was really just having a good time. Mike Green played drums and I played everything else.” – Jenny O.

Jenny O. grew up on Long Island, playing classical double bass and singing in a 60’s cover band. Eventually, she shifted her focus to songwriting, moved to LA, and has released four albums, including her latest, Peace & Information. Songs from these records can be heard most recently in television series such as Orange Is The New BlackShamelessRiverdale, and The Sims video game.
