Boy In Space has released a video for his latest single “7UP” – WATCH HERE. The emotive video gently spotlights snippets of vital pieces in Robin Lundbäck’s life. Shot entirely in his hometown of Alingsås, Sweden, the cast in the video include his best friends, his brother and his long-term girlfriend. The song itself, which recently prompted Paper to confess that the musical venture “is sure to land in hearts everywhere” because of its “soaring, earwormy melodies,” flawlessly blends otherworldly heartbreak over a soundtrack of memorable and comforting production.
Through lush melodies and transparent lyrics that ponder truth, love and a complicated adolescence, like the ones found in his new single, “7UP,” Lundbäck attempts to illustrate the intensities of youth, the cold sting of heartbreak, the suffocation of betrayal and the fiery passion of young love.
This concoction of emotions and feelings that compete for his attention culminate in a concept he calls “Space.” The moniker “Boy In Space” itself is a metaphor for how Lundbäck, navigates and untangles these feelings.
“My mind is a rollercoaster” he admits. “Sometimes I wish I could be normal. Most of the time I’m grateful I’m not. Although my songs can be sad, I’m actually pretty happy (most of the time).”
