Hi Luca, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

Doing very well thank you! Busy times, but can’t complain. Traveling a lot at the moment, starting to see the world in new perspectives..

Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Loneliness”?

Sure! Well I took a little break from my own music during the last 3 years or so. That was to focus on building Bentley Records and my other business ventures. So this was a bit of a “comeback” single. We released this in partnership with Warner Music Singapore.

Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?

Haha well.. This is a song about taking the loneliness away from a lady. I’ll leave the rest to your imagination..

Any plans to release a video for the single?

Well at the moment not cause I’m working on a few more bigger singles, for which I’m planning to release music videos as well.

How was the recording and writing process?

The song was produced by my friend DJ SQ from Cologne, Germany. It was co-produced by Matthew Garufi from Australia, who did the talk box parts. Also features vocals from talented Australian singer Lenken Issac. Rapper West Crav from Arizona also featured on this record. I wrote and recorded my parts while I was touring in Dubai few years ago.

What was it like to work with Snoop Dogg and how did that relationship develop?

To feature with rap icon Snoop Dogg on a record was one of the biggest highlights of my career. This opportunity was brought to the table by one of my former label mates KZ from Florida.

How much did he get to influence the writing?

Well who wouldn’t get influenced by this legend? I had to change my writing style to accommodate to this song. Because I had to make sure my verse compliments and tributes the legend himself.

With such a legendary name – how did you get to balance and split the creative duties and inputs?

It wasn’t easy I must say. I had to be on my A-game for this song. I hope I did my best…

Do you tend to take a different approach when you are collaborating with someone else rather than working on your own?

That’s a great question to be honest! Well, I think I do take a bit of a different approach when collaborating with others. I guess one would say I make the music sound a bit more commercial when I’m collaborating with others, compared to my traditional R&B records!

As the head of a label yourself – how has these influence your music perspective as a whole? Do you approach music any differently?

We work with a lot of incredible talents through Bentley Records. I think my own artists influence my music quite a bit. I’m a student of life. So I try to learn from everyone and every experience. My artist Ayoo KD recently dropped a song with Soulja Boy, I think I like that record a lot!

Does the new single mean we can expect a new material – how’s that coming along?

I can’t tell you guys about all the projects I’m working on at the moment, however some of the big ones are a potential release with Sean Kingston & my artist Legendary MarQuest. And we recently signed Ukrainian superstar Tina Karol with Bentley Records, so I’ve been working in the studio with her as well.

Any tentative release date or title in mind?

No names yet. But we are looking at around September for the next releases.

Any plans to hit the road?

Right now during my travels around the world I try to do a quick show or two in each country. Next year I’m looking at releasing my long awaited solo album! After that I might do a world tour.

What else is happening next in Luca Dayz’s world?

What a question! I’m not sure I can give a straight answer to it since I’m working on many different things at the moment. I already told y’all most of the musical projects I’m currently working with. Outside of music I have quite a few successful business ventures. I’m president of Luxo Group International. Under that umbrella we have multiple companies, a A private jet company called LuxoAir, a luxury travel agency called LuxoTravels, XKON Designer Fashion and we recently launched a TV station called MIXZtv. So i’m juggling between my music stuff and the business side as well. What’s important for me is using my abilities to create opportunities for others. So i’ma continue to do that and create great things for the world!
