After teasing fans last month with the release of “The Tuxedo Way,” critically-acclaimed funk-R&B duo Tuxedo (recording artist Mayer Hawthorne and producer Jake One) have dropped their new single “Toast 2 Us”alongside the announcement that their next studio album, Tuxedo III, will arrive Friday, July 19^th. CLICK HERE to listen to the tantalizing love song – which features Stones Throw recording artist Benny Sings and appears on the forthcoming album – and check out the first look of the track and album announcement via Billboard.com.

“We always have one or two slow jams on each album, but this time a slow jam was a unanimous favorite which is strange for us,” shares the duo about the new single. “Benny Sings has always been one of our favorite artists and he brought a different flavor to the song that is truly magical.”

Tuxedo III, produced and arranged by Tuxedo, features the lead single, “The Tuxedo Way,” which received immediate praise upon release last month. MXDWN hailed, “[the] duo’s masterful aesthetic is an intersection of old school R&B and new-age pop, combining sounds like that of artists from Mark Ronson to Justin Timberlake, creating a new style similar to fellow group Parcels.” The 11-track album, available via the group’s own label Funk On Sight, features an array of special guests including MF DOOM, Gabriel Garzón-Montano, Parisalexa, Leven Kali, Battlecat, DāM-FunK, and Gavin Turek in addition to Benny Sings. Full track listing is below. CLICK HERE to pre-order Tuxedo III, which will be available for purchase digitally and physically; both on CD as well as limited-edition silver haze-colored vinyl and clear, silver and glitter-infused cassette tapes.

To celebrate the release of Tuxedo III, the guys will be bringing the funk across North America this summer on a 21-date headlining tour throughout July and August. Kicking off July 20^th in Santa Ana, California, Tuxedo will stop at major cities across North America, including Las Vegas, Washington, DC, New York City, Toronto, Detroit, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles before wrapping August 24^th in San Diego.
