Shreveport, Louisiana’s Seratones – fronted by the gospel-trained powerhouse frontwoman A.J. Haynes – will release their sophomore album POWER this Summer, and today, following the latest single “Gotta Get To Know Ya,” they share the album’s title track. Starting with a driving bass-line and shimmering synths, the astonishing “Power” takes off as Haynes fiercely sings with a snarl:“Cause this grind is so damn real / Trying to break that same bad deal / With the devil that I know and the devil that I don’t…Two steps forward / They take one step backward / We take each step cause We Have The Power.” “Sometimes, when you’re in the thick of the struggle, it’s hard to see the possibility of change,” Haynes explains to NPR. You keep striving nonetheless. Some call it faith. I have yet to find the right words. I just hope that this song brings strength and encouragement to the women that have changed my life and anyone who continues to change this world for the better. There is work to be done.” Listen to the song now viaNPR Music’s All Songs Considered HERE.

POWER will be released on August 23rd – pre-order HERE.
