Rockaway Beach’s favorite sons, Skells, returned today with their infectious new single “Foam Top” – just in time to soundtrack your summer backyard BBQs and surf sessions. “Foam Top” is the perfect track to announce the band’s new EP, Dinosaur Village, as it is full of the instrumental surf rock that has made the band such a popular staple of the burgeoning creative scene currently bubbling in Queens’ most beloved beach community. You can listen to “Foam Top” now on YouTube, Spotify and most of your other streaming platforms of choice.

If you have spent time in Rockaway Beach, Queens, odds are you’ve heard of Skells. As four lifelong friends who grew up in Rockaway, Skells have been a trendsetter and favorite of the local scene for years. Despite the diverse tastes of the band’s members, Skells sound came together through a shared love of 1960’s surf rock. This common musical bond is apparent in the way their recent Dinosaur Village EP pays homage to the reverb-drenched guitars and drum rolls of that period. In the three years that they’ve been performing, they’ve developed a dedicated following of friends, neighbors, beach-goers and strangers alike around their energetic performances.

Skells will be performing at the Rockaway Brewery this Sunday (June 2nd) to celebrate their new single and the announcement of the Dinosaur Village EP. Stay tuned for more information and shows as we get closer to the June 14th release date!
