Mariee Sioux will release Grief In Exile, her first album in seven years, this Friday, and today she shares another preview of the record, the haunting opening track “Black Snakes.” The song finds Sioux attempting to recover from loss, singing, “Empty words spoken again and again / The Sacred Hoop broken that we’re trying to mend / So we’ll split the light in two.”
