Wrapping up our premiere week, we are going back into the heydays of the 80s as we get bombarded by the sonic New Wave melodies from Sleeping Tongues’ latest single “Safeway.”
This song was inspired by Craig Kepen’s time spent with an old friend back home. A simple soul who never broaden his horizons but has the spirt of someone even more content then us dream chasers. Even though over time, their differences in culture/experience and money could drive them apart, it brings them closer in a way of bonding in the others eyes on life. Everyone who left home to chase a dream has a good friend back home, this is a homage to them, they are not forgotten.
“Even though I can’t compete with money or degrees you seem much less stressed when we’re hanging out”
Brooklyn’s Sleeping Tongues Were founded four years ago by multi-instrumentalist Craig Kepen.
