Mint Trip, the Los Angeles-based alternative pop band that’s not afraid to take risks, is back this summer with the new single “Glow”. The song depicts the physical and emotional drain of social media addiction. The band fluidly plays with time signatures throughout the single, which adds to its growing momentum from start to end. To celebrate “Glow”, the young trio will perform at El Cid in Los Angeles the same evening of the single’s release. The New York-based pop powerhouse Car Astor will also be splitting the bill with them.
Mint Trip’s band members liken the feel of “Glow” to going into zombie mode on your phone – “You’re getting into bed. You reach for your phone to set an alarm. Ten minutes later, you realize you’ve been mindlessly scrolling through the void instead of going to sleep.”
The new single will be available on all digital platforms and will also be included on Mint Trip’s debut, full-length album, Animator (set for release in September 2019).
