As with many announcements that begin with the phrase “Due to unforeseen circumstances,” it is with deepest apologies that BLITZ VEGA will be postponing their U.S. live debut in New York City and Los Angeles due to delays with international visas for some of the band members. Originally planned for June 10th (NYC’s Mercury Lounge) and 12th (Los Angeles’ The Roxy), the shows will be rescheduled at a later date. Ticket holders will be notified and given the option for a refund or a special meet & greet with the band at a later time.
Says ANDY ROURKE of Blitz Vega:
“We are sad to have had to reschedule the shows as we were both looking forward to getting up on stage in our adopted cities and introducing everyone to Blitz Vega. We can’t wait to announce the rescheduled dates. We have a really special night planned for everyone who wants to see us play.”
Formed by one of the most revered bass players in alternative music, ANDY ROURKE (of The Smiths)and British frontman / guitarist KAV (formerly of Happy Mondays), Blitz Vega has been working on new music including the recently released debut single “Hey Christo”. Described by Gigslutz as ” big driving tracks, guitar hooks, heavy beats, loops and live drums. File alongside; Iggy & The Stooges, BRMC, Queens of The Stone Age, The Kills, Kasabian & Primal Scream,” their music combines their alt-rock legacies and mashes them together into a heady mix.
