State Lights Release “Open Your Arms”
Forming three years ago at BIMM in Dublin, bonding over a shared interest in classic pop music and a common desire to write big stadium sized songs, singer Shobsy, guitarist Joe Regan, drummer Paul Ridgeway and bassist Noel Perry decided to work together on a music project and create State Lights.
Their latest offering “Open Your Arms” follows on from “Peace Will Come which” saw support from a host of international radio stations which led to a spot at the prestigious Electric Arena Stage at Electric Picnic where they shared the stage with The Kooks, St Vincent followed by support tours with The Fratellis and The Academic.
Firmly established as one of Ireland’s best new acts State Lights showcase a sound readymade for big arenas, reminiscent of a modern day Coldplay mixed with the melodic beats of Kygo, their latest offering “Open Your Arms” represents the sound of a band primed for a big international breakthrough.

Having recently sold out the 300 capacity Workmans club in Dublin, State Lights have just announced a headline show at the Whelan’s venue on Oct 5th, and are to perform at a number of festivals over the coming months, such as Oakfest and Indiependence alongside Lewis Capaldi and Bastille..
Headline shows and tour dates for the UK will be announced over the coming months.
