A- Hi Trip, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

We’re doing great, thanks for asking.

B- Can you talk to us more about your latest single Tango Yankee?

This single is all about paying homage to all our military personnel and first responders, featuring Lajon Witherspoon from SevenDust.

C- Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?

I presented the idea to Corey Lowery (producer) and Jimmy Wooten (Gears drummer) after I saw my oldest son, Gabe, graduate in becoming a Marine at Paris Island.  That experience filled me with such an overwhelming feeling of joy and pride. It inspired me to honor not only my son but all our military men, women and first responders.

D- Any plans to release a video for the single?

The video was  released on 04/04/19 on all social media and digital platforms. We are overwhelmed with the amount of response our FAMZ (fans) have given us.

E- How was the recording and writing process?

The recording processs with Corey Lowery was seamless. It’s so easy to work with that dude!  We wrote the melodies, lyrics and recorded the song all in one night.

F- What was it like to work with Lajon Witherspoon and how did that relationship develop?

Aww man, we love LJ!  Unfortunately I didn’t get to work with him directly this time around. We recorded the song and his portion came afterwards. Corey had spoken to him months after we initially recorded the song and played it for him. He loved the song so much he recorded his portion that very same day. LJ is a BEAST!

G- How much did he get to influence the song?

No influence whatsoever. He actually used our lyrics and melodies and put that LJ vibe to it.

H- Do you tend to take a different approach when you are collaborating with someone else rather than working on your own?

Not at all, we do things solely from the heart. No fillers  Whatever the feeling is when we approach the song is the same feeling we try to deliver to you all.

I- What role does Miami play in your music?

J-Does the new single mean we can expect a new material – how’s that coming along?

Absolutley! Our next surprise it’s definetly going to blow your mind, guaranteed!

So please keep checking our social media for dates.

K- Any tentative release date or title in mind?

Hopefully by mid-fall.

L- Any plans to hit the road?

We aren’t sure if we are this year though next year for sure.

M- What else is happening next in GEARS’ world?

BIG surprise coming within the next few months, the WORLD is not ready for this and we like it that way!
