What Goes Up is our first single since our debut EP, 𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘐𝘵 𝘌𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘐𝘮 𝘎𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨. Written as a breakup anthem, we wanted the song to still have the feeling that you could drive or bop to it. We aimed for more of a true alternative pop rock sound with this new music. We wanted to come back swinging from our last music, and so we experimented with our sound a little bit. What Goes Up was written when Tucker, our singer, was in the thick of a breakup, and we wanted to keep the raw and emotional aspects to the song. We went through multiple chorus options, and settled on one that felt completely honest and unforgiving. It’s all a part of the process, and we think anyone who has gone through a bad breakup can relate. “I took old texts and notes from my phone, and just compiled a list of things that kept bothering me. Then I shaped it to make sense within a 3:30 song. I wanted the first line to set the scene, and then to complete change the attitude in the verses and chorus. I remember writing the chorus one morning after staying up until 5 AM one night, and just said exactly what I was thinking. I didn’t tiptoe around anything,”. -Tucker Click

Hand Made House is an alternative-pop rock band from Boston, MA. The band was founded in 2016 by Tucker Click (vocals), Josh Nardine (drums), and Maison Thomas-Eudy (guitar), who happens to be the son of Matchbox Twenty Frontman, Rob Thomas. The HMH members met as students at Berklee College of Music, and adopted their name as a symbol; making every show feel like home- encouraging a sense of belonging for each audience member. The musical content has reminiscent tones of the band’s musical influences, such as 5 Seconds of Summer, Kings of Leon, Young the Giant, Nothing but Thieves, and The 1975. Also, featured in the group are Amin Mortada (guitar), and Mark Donohue (bass).
