“Elevator Music was written pretty specifically about my experience in a major label setting, and the lack of sincerity and sensitivity that seems so inextricably linked to a corporate approach to music. I don’t think it’s always inherently bad or toxic, but I was so young when I signed my first record deal, and it took a massive toll on my mental health and my overall perception of my own writing.”
Wilkinson turned to music as a form of therapy, pouring her emotions into her debut EP, set for release later this year. Creating an addictive of blend of electro-infused sky reaching pop, 7Chariot looks set to make a mark this year.
