Yoke Lore releases his rousing new single ‘Safe and Sound’ on May 14th through Yellhouse Records. A stirring observation on the changing roles relationships plays in this era; listen to ‘Safe and Sound’ HERE:
Speaking about ‘Safe and Sound’ Galvin explains, “I think there are different times throughout history where relationships have meant different things. In the Stone Age, they meant survival. In the Victorian era, they meant politics. And I think part of what they mean in our era is refuge. A bright spot of intimacy in an otherwise intricate web of depersonalization and the mass casual insincerity among daily interactions. Olly Olly Oxen Free.”
New York indie pop project Yoke Lore is the solo musical venture of Adrian Galvin, previously of Yellerkin and Walk the Moon.Following on from recent single ‘Chin Up’, ‘Safe and Sound’ is the second single to be released from his forthcoming ‘Meditations EP’ set for release on June 14th. ‘Chin Up’ was accompanied by a video shot in the depths of winter in Alaska, sparse and bleak in comparison to the track’s joyous nature. In 2019, Yoke Lore will make appearances at BottleRock Napa Valley, Firefly Festival (Dover) and Bushstock (London), following an east coast headline run.He recently announced his debut UK headline shows taking place in London, Manchester and Leeds in June 2019.
