Critically acclaimed singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Craig Stickland debuts his brand new single and Van Session for “Stop At Nothing” today via Baeble Music. Blurring the lines between soul, folk, rock and pop the track starts with soothing guitar riffs before breaking into a full choir as Craig declares, “I’ll stop at nothing for you.”
“‘Stop At Nothing’ was written when I was falling for someone who had their heart broken in a manipulative relationship immediately before me. It’s a song about falling in love with someone who has their guard up and going the extra mile to prove you love them.”
“Stop At Nothing” follows the release of guitar driven anthem “Burn It Down” and the mesmerizing ballad “Rolling River”. It marks the third release off Craig’s upcoming album, Starlit Afternoon, due out this summer. Written throughout a whirlwind tour in a self-converted sustainable Sprinter Van, he personally produced the album, alongside Cat Lewis and Gray Hawken, in Los Angeles during 2018. He Airbnb’ed his apartment, slept in his van outside the studio, and architected a 12-track opus, fusing blues, soul, rock, folk, gospel, and alternative.
The Van Session is one of 8 stripped-down, acoustic performances Craig shot to accompany most of the 12 track album Starlit Afternoon. They were shot and recorded at remote locations across California; Yosemite, Joshua Tree, Alabama Hills, and Downtown Los Angeles. These performances were powered only by solar energy from the van and showcase the depth of Stickland’s singer-songwriter sensibility and adventurous spirit.
