Beyoncé and Run The Jewels producer BOOTS remixes THE HAUNT’s “All Went Black”

Breakout alt rockers The Haunt have issued a mesmerizing Jordan Asher (aka Boots) remix of their anti-bullying anthem, “All Went Black.” First released on Record Store Day on limited edition 7” vinyl to 300 locations, the single hit streaming platforms on April 16. Known for his work with Beyoncé on her smash hit “Drunk in Love (feat. Jay-Z),” Asher is an in-demand producer, having also worked with FKA twigs and Run the Jewels while scoring music for the film Fifty Shades of Grey and the forthcoming Addams Family movie starring Charlize Theron and Chloë Grace Moretz.

Penned by Ana at age 12, its hypnotic refrain, “Where did you go, Are you coming back, Where did you go when it all went black,” is a stunning outcry against abandonment and the resulting darkness of being left behind by those we love. It doesn’t just leave a mark. It deposits a scar, but don’t be afraid of the dark because even in the depth of the night, there is light.”

A singular voice, brimming with soul, subconsciously encourages you to never let go, that strength built from moments of weakness will help build a bridge to a cogent future.

The group partnered with the Stop Bullying Now Foundation to help contribute to putting an end to the epidemic of bullying among today’s youth, empowering them through counseling, life skills training, open communication, and creative outlets.

On the concert front, the band toured throughout North America and Europe, doing 70 shows in fall 2018/winter 2019, supporting fashion art-rockers Palaye Royale, including to nearly 2000 people at Electric Brixton in London. Channeling the likes of Karen O, Cat Power, Shirley Manson, Amy Lee (of Evanescence), Lorde and the ghost of Nina Simone, Anastasia is an indisputable talent, her powerful voice able to command your undivided attention. With a telepathic counterbalance from Maxamillion, and the propulsive rhythm section of bassist Natalie Smallish and drummer Nick Lewert, the quartet embodies the essence of spontaneous combustion. With their fast-growing notoriety, the band was tapped by Abercrombie & Fitch lifestyle brand, Hollister, to join Plain White T’s on select dates of the High School Nation Tour which runs through May 3.
