PREMIERE: Philadelphia Singer-Songwriter Matthew Fair Releases Debut Single “Another Girl”

Singer-songwriter MATTHEW FAIR has returned with the release of his debut single, Another Girl. This track is set to be the first single off of his highly anticipated debut album, Desert Rose, to be released later this year. The single showcases Matthew’s unique and ethereal voice and his skilled ability as a multi-instrumentalist. On top of being his debut single as an artist, Another Girl is especially important to Matthew as he co-produced it alongside Philadelphia based engineer and producer Joe Novotny.

According to Matthew, “Another Girl was one of the first tracks I ever wrote that I fell in love, strongly due to the main chord progression. It took me over a year and trying out several different interpretations to finish this track. I wouldn’t have been able to bring this track to life without assembling the right team, which I found in engineer and producer, Joe Novotny and drummer, Tristan Walker”.

Novotny says, “Co-producing and engineering Another Girl with Matthew has been an amazing experience. I’ve seen him grow exceptionally as an artist and a producer throughout our time together, pushing himself to limits as an artist to get the best out of this track. Hearing the original demo to where we are now with the final product was a huge sonic and artistic jump”.

Matthew Fair is a 23-year old singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Philadelphia, PA. Fair’s musical journey began at an early age when he started playing piano. He quickly learned guitar and bass while also developing a keen interest in singing. Playing in several unique bands throughout his career, Fair has learned to perform in a variety of different genres and styles. His songwriting is built upon these wide-ranging influences, making his sound ear catching to a popular audience. Some of Fair’s musical influences include singer/songwriters Elliott Smith and Jason Isbell; as well as accomplished turn-of-the-century bands Radiohead, My Morning Jacket and Wilco.
