Nashville pop singer, dnny, continues his triumphant leap into pop music with the release of a new single, “way wrong (feat. Xuitcasecity)”, today. dnny slows down the tempo a bit in this one, delivering a hip-hop and dance-infused, feel-goodvibe to compliment the track’s passionate lyrics (dnny, Katie MAC, Will Mcbeath) and dnny’s smooth vocals.
“way wrong” finds dnny caught in the friendzone with a girl he’s been close with for a long time. Wanting to have her by his side, he sings, “All of this tension // But I don’t want to mention // Everything I’ve been feeling // Am I way wrong?”. Xuitcasecity jump in on the second verse, bringing their own energy to the table. The duo, combined with dnny sound like three lifelong friends chatting about their relationship problems. The final product, produced by Will Mcbeath and Chris Zurzolo, brings listeners to reminisce on an issue we’ve all faced, while still having fun and jamming to his lively, youthful spirit.
dnny, a.k.a. Danny Guarino, has loved music since childhood, having balanced that passion with his love of sports all the way through to the end of his time at Belmont University. Moving on from a successful career as a D1 soccer player, the Denver-born singer is now dedicated to music full time. Staying true to his upbringing in his close-knit family of six, dnny strives to create music in line with the mantra of “love, faith, youth”.
