Created by founding members Tim Raybon and Daniel Grindstaff, Merle Monroe takes on an infused sound that incorporates each band members individual strengths into each recording. You’ve probably heard Tim Raybon’s work in some capacity, with the singer releasing a Gold-certified version of the 90s smash “Butterfly Kisses” with his brother, Marty Raybon from the chart-topping group Shenandoah. On the other end, Daniel Grindstaff offers years of music experience, performing countless times on the legendary Grand Ole Opry.
Together, Merle Monroe is set to release their debut album on June 21, called Back To The Country. The first sample comes from the project’s lead single, “This Town,” which would be available tomorrow for download and streaming, but we are giving you an exclusive first listen now. The song will probably sound familiar to many classic Country fans, as the track was included on Roger Miller’s 1965 album, The 3rd Time Around. Merle Monroe brings new life to “This Town,” and will remind fans of the music they once fell in love with.
