Mokita Releases “Til I Don’t”

Born John-Luke Carter, Mokita started playing the piano and at the age of six and singing in the choir shortly after.  After adding the guitar to his list of skills later on, he eventually ended up in the world of music production; giving him everything he needed to begin crafting his stunning body of work as an artist.  Since, the Nashville-based musician has been making waves with a range of originals, as well as remixes, all serving as a testament to his mastery of the gamut of musical disciplines.

Now he’s back with the release of his shimmering new single “Til I Don’t.” As he puts it “Til I Don’t’’ is just about not being ready to move on from someone yet. When you go through a break up, you and the other person don’t move on at the same rate. The person in this song is simply saying ‘I’m not over you, so I’m gonna miss you until I don’t anymore’. I think it has this kind of playfulness to it in the melody and production, while lyrically its slightly sad. I think that dichotomy of sad/happy is always something in music that I’ve been drawn to.”
