Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Calling Out My Name”? Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song? How was the filming process and experience behind the video?
Someone who we know who is very close to us needed our help. We needed to let them know that no matter how alone they felt there was always somebody somewhere calling out their name. The filming was kind of an insight to this individuals struggles, it’s actually quite generic when you’re in that dark place, but capturing that in the video had to be delicately delivered. We omitted a lot of footage as we didn’t want it too dark.. Iron maiden capitalise on catchy melodies yet fill their music with power.
How was the recording and writing process?
The writing process came from the heart, we were all literally mentally drained for months afterwards as each and everyone one of us put our heart and soul into it.
What role does Hartlepool play in your music?
We are from the Teeside area and never really has a play in our music.
Does the new single mean we can expect a new material – how’s that coming along?
We are constantly working on new material and our next release is a belter for sure.
Any tentative release date or title in mind?
Pretty curtain it’ll be ‘Close Your Eyes’ and could be release soon after the Lechlade festival as we will use the footage for our next video.
Any plans to hit the road?
We always looking to travel to Europe and hope this happens this year.
