INTERVIEW: WYO Chi

Hi Chi, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

It’s CHI! I’ve been good, feeling better after my project dropped.

Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Drip Sauce’?

“Drip Sauce” summarizes how my life has been recently — AMAZING.

Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?

Cameras out, flashes out, I’m always with the crew, that’s how the song came about.

Any plans to release a video for the single?

It’s in the works,  Stay Tuned!

The single comes off your new album Freshman – what’s the story behind the title?

Im a freshman in high school, and being as it’s my first project, what better name than Freshman?

How was the recording and writing process?

It was fun, studio sessions were always LIT!

As your music keeps getting much popular – do you feel any pressure as you work on a new material or rather the opposite?

No, I don’t feel pressured because, every-time I go to the studio, I come out with a better banger than the last.

You got to play with different styles on the album – was there like a selection process on what genre to tackle on?

No, I just went based off how I felt that day, I would be at the studio listening to different beats, and hopped on the ones I liked.

Where did you find the inspiration for the songs and lyrics?

I basically took what I lived, and what I did to speak on it.

Any plans to hit the road?

YES! WYOChi Tour 2019.. Coming to a city near you.

What else is happening next in WYO Chi’s world?

You can expect a lot of new music. I am constantly in the studio working.
