CD REVIEW: It’s Time by Rose Ann Dimalanta Trio

“It’s Time” – new album by the Rose Ann Dimalanta Trio. What? You thought we’d start off our review with It’s Time? Not today! We’d like for you to consider this Funk group of professional musicians/best friends who’s only reason to play music is to connect with people and have fun. How cool is that! They’re not in it for anything else but just enjoy the music and allow it to mean something to those who need to hear it.

If you think you’re just about to listen to some amateurs who just play really sloppy music with no talent, well, you couldn’t be further from the truth. Rose actually was in Prince’s band for his Musicology tour. Yes, that Prince! They have loads of talent and they use it for our enjoyment; we’re the lucky ones.

If you’d like to listen to one of their slower tracks, be sure to listen to “Miles”, where they truly connect with their audience. Following the soft, soothing voice through all the miles running inside your head. Now, if you’re into something more upbeat, we highly recommend you check out their hit single last year, “No Goodbyein’ because that will get you off your feet and dancing to your Funk.

So, get off your butt and play either of those songs and get lost in the moment. If you want the moment to last a little bit longer, check out their entire album, “It’s Time”, we promise you won’t be dissapointed.
