An electronic visionary at her core, Sensu seamlessly blends her background as a classically trained pianist with her years producing hip-hop beats to create a boundary shattering new sound. “Listen” exudes an all too familiar warmth with Otis Junior’s sweet croons gliding over Sensu’s glitchy beats. Atmospheric chords ebb and flow in Sensu’s immaculate production style, putting this young producer in a realm of her own.

“The song ‘Listen’ perfectly represents the style of music I create. It’s a track with drum sounds that you could use in a hip-hop track and synthesizer sounds which could be used in a trance song, so it creates that electronic sound mixed with an organic feel to it. During the album process I was looking for a soulful voice for this track and I guess I found the perfect match on Instagram – Otis Junior from Louisville. He has an absolutely beautiful and soulful voice which matches the track perfectly and gives a nice warm feeling to it.” – Sensu

Sensu’s impressive trademark sound landed her major performances at renowned festivals such as Zurich Open Air, as well as tours with the likes of Pablo Nouvelle. Her label Quartz Records, freshly signed to Universal Music, boasts home for the artists’ full-length debut.

“The reason I chose to kick off the project with this song is because it tells a story, it has that emotional feeling to it, it represents the rest of the album very well and I still like it very much after listening to it several hundreds of times.”Sensu

Sensu’s first full-length album Embrace is slated to release on Friday, September 6. Watch this space.
