1. Hi DUSK, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

Good thanks! Life is fun right now.

  1. Can you talk to us more about your latest single “New Habit”?

It’s a hazy banger that gets you in the feels and in the feet. We collabed with Call Me Loop and she totally nailed it.

  1. Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?

Not one event but its something a lot of us have been through. Most of the time the stuff that feels good isn’t actually good for us but we can’t help it, then sometimes a person comes along who is both and life makes sense for a moment.

  1. Any plans to release a video for the single?

Yeah we’re working on that now actually. We’re going down a slightly different route to a straight up music video so it’s fun and exciting. Coming soon!

  1. How was the recording and writing process?

Easy! This was one of those that just flowed right from the jump. We had it written and roughly vocalled in 4 hours and then hooked up with Loop to get the final vocals.

  1. What was it like to work with Call Me Loop?

She’s such a pro and a lot of fun to work with, so sessions with her are always chill. We’ve also written some great new music with her recently.

  1. What role does London play in your music?

Probably quite a big part, more in the approach than the actual sound. London is such an amazing melting pot and growing up here you can’t help but be influenced by that and that’s what makes it such a special place. Londoners are citizens of the world and we think that comes across in our music.

  1. Do you tend to take a different approach when you are collaborating with or writing for someone else rather than on your own?

Definitely, writing or producing for another artist is all about fulfilling their vision and imparting your influence on that, it’s an amazing process which we love. Doing it for ourselves is totally different because it’s about our vision, and that’s liberating because you get the space to fully express yourself but in turn you’re putting yourself out there that much more and that can be scary!

  1. With the major success you have been gaining with your previous work – do you feel any pressure as you release a new material?

To be honest not at all, we do this for fun at the end of the day, so if we write a song and it takes off great, if not onto the next.

  1. Does the new single mean we can expect a new material – how’s that coming along?

It certainly does… We’re always working on new material so watch this space for future singles.

  1. Any tentative release date or title in mind?

That’s under wraps at the moment, we’re focusing on New Habit for now so gotta keep the next one quiet!

  1. Any plans to hit the road?

We’d love to, we have lots of ideas for a live show that we’ve been testing the water with. Let’s see what happens…

  1. What else is happening next in DUSK’s world?

You’ll find us in the studio most days to be honest! We’ve been writing in Stockholm, Los Angeles and Jamaica recently so lots of traveling too. Next up New York, Paris and Amsterdam.
