The music of Edmonton, Alberta’s RV Farms reveals itself like a puzzle. RV Farms’ create pop music presented as a secret, intimate confessions that still offer a sparkling presence. His latest single “July” is a curious amalgamation of soft instrumentation, and light percussion which creates a real depth when juxtaposed to the meandering compositions.
RV Farms feels like it’s in a genre of it’s own, it resembles Chad VanGaalan but it’s quite as psychedelic, has influences from Elliot Smith but isn’t nearly has depressing or dark, and has a similarly layered and complex base of instrumentation as Tame Impala but isn’t as poppy and polished. At the end of the day RV Farms, is RV Farms, and we like it for what it is. Keep an eye out for RV Farms self titled EP, due for release Spring of 2019!
