Youtube’s Step Up: High Water Drops 2 New Vids For “Marquise’s Interlude”

Combining compelling drama with thrilling music and electric performance scenes, YouTube/Lionsgate series Step Up: High Water is a unique experience. Showcasing the talents of castmember Terayle Hill, Step Up shares the lyric video for “Marquise’s Interlude,” the latest snippet from Step Up: High Water, Season 2 (Original Soundtrack).

Watch “Marquise’s Interlude”:

To set the scene, “Marquise’s Interlude” takes place behind bars when Terayle Hill aka Marquise is set up and lands in jail because of it. To speed through the time, he begins writing raps and sending them to his friend Rigo, who puts him on the radar of a popular producer. The producer then decides that Marquise will be his new protege. Behind the original lyrics written by Terayle, there’s a narrative in the video figuratively and visually. His character Marquise asserts his pride with hard-hitting reality based story-telling that could contend with the best street songs out today. With a lyric video that fires words at the screen as fast as Hill can rap them, “Marquise’s Interlude” demonstrates Step Up: High Water’s ability to coax deep emotion out of its characters’ checkered pasts.

With musical direction and production from Timbaland and musical supervision from EMMY-award nominee Jen Malone(Atlanta), Step Up: High Water, Season 2 (Original Soundtrack) is diverse and dramatic, providing an important element to the series with songs that work equally well in and out of context. Episode 1 premiered on Wednesday and already has 12M views!
