PREMIERE: Dolo Jones Releases “Stuck In A Groove”

Based in Manchester, Dolo Jones is a visual and audio artist par excellence, with his name letting you know exactly who helped him achieve this [Dolo Jones = “Doing it all solo on your Jack Jones]. With his first set of decks given to him by his Grandma, Dolo started life as a club DJ, quickly learning the art and playing to audiences of over 1000 each week. For Dolo, this wasn’t enough – working with other people’s tracks only fuelled a curiosity for what exactly made the music connect with people, leaving him anxious to stamp his own mark on the scene. Today, he is doing just that, creating every element of his future-funk-disco-house hybrids and the stunning visuals that accompany them – proof that if you want something doing properly, you should do it the Dolo Jones way! Nothing captures all of these the best with the new visuals for Jones’ latest single “Stuck (In A Groove).”

Being brought up by adopted parents has had a lasting effect on Dolo, fuelling his creativity and exposing him to influences that might otherwise have existed outside of his immediate world. Pushing him to challenge the norm and to debunk any preconceptions people might have of him, he celebrates the unique elements he brings to his art and the freedom that working alone affords him.

Dolo Jones’ efforts have not gone unnoticed. New Zealand tech company, Synthstrom Audible, have approached him to create both music and visuals to accompany their promotion for the highly-touted Deluge Synth/Sampler/Sequencer. Having honed his craft, thanks to both his self-reliance and playing live alongside such legendary names as Farley “Jackmaster” Funk and Sean Kingston, Dolo Jones’ music and videos are a true, undiluted representation of a man who seems destined to succeed at everything he turns his hands to.
