Hailing from London, Ridings learned to play the guitar from her father, actor Richard Ridings.(The Brothers Grimm, Rise of the Planet of the Apes). At the age of 16, Freya refined her skills at the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology in England, a school whose alumni include other prominent British singer/songwriters such as Amy Winehouse and Adele.

Ridings self-released “Lost Without You” in 2017, and it quickly took the world by storm. March 2019 saw the release of “You Mean The World To Me” with Idolator praising it as “the exquisite ballad is a testament to her vocal range and ability to convey complex emotions in song lyrics.” Shortly thereafter she found herself on the road supporting acts like Lewis Capaldi, Tash Sultana, Tears for Fears and Dotan. Most recently, she’s further showed off her live talents with two live albums recorded at London’s Omeara and St Pacras Old Church.
