iNCH RETURNS WITH BRAND NEW SINGLE “SUN & MOON ☉+◑”

Singaporean alternative-folktronica singer/songwriter iNCH, a.k.a. Inch Chua, releases her new single “Sun & Moon +” today worldwide under Warner Music Singapore. The track is iNCH’s first major release in over two years and introduces her upcoming album that will debut in an experiential binaural show titled No Man’s Land. Commissioned by Theatreworks, the show will run from April 24 – May 4 at TheatreWorks 72-13 and will feature sounds recorded during iNCH’s 2018 expedition to Antarctica. Watch here

Says iNCH, “I was looking for artistic growth for quite a while. Working in theatre and other art forms of expression has brought back the same excitement of creation I had when I first started my music career. Early last year, I went on an expedition to Antarctica with a climate change organization called 2041. Since my return, I have been hard at work on creating my next work based on my experience. The new single ‘Sun & Moon +’ is the first of many things to come.”

“Sun & Moon +” is a folktronica track that features iNCH’s airy yet enveloping vocals over an infectious, head bopping-rhythm. Written and produced by iNCH along with longtime collaborator and friend Evanturetime, who also mastered the track at Zendyll Record in Singapore, the single is mixed by multi-Grammy Award-winning engineer Thomas Juth (KT Tunstall, a-ha, Craig David, Luis Fonsi).

In iNCH’s own words, the single has a deeper meaning than just the duality of two seemingly different natures: “‘Sun & Moon +’ explores the Mandarin/Japanese word, / (ma), which means ‘gap,’ ‘space,’ ‘pause’ or ‘the space between,’ ‘an emptiness full of possibilities, like a promise yet to be fulfilled,’ which pretty much describes the tension we live in today with climate change. There has got to be a middle ground between being paralyzed with hopelessness and being passive observing with blind optimism.”

With the release of “Sun & Moon +,” iNCH is also staging her first multi-sensory performance titled ‘Til The End Of The World, We Meet In No Man’s Land, from April 25 – May 4 at Theatreworks 72-13. Tickets are available at www.sistic.com.sg/events/cland0519.
