Helsinki-based folk duo, Lone Deer Laredo, have just released a new video for “Golden Harvest”. Watch here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UPMDXMVrQfk. “Golden Harvest” is featured on the band’s debut album, Vol. 1/7, released last week.

Lone Deer Laredo is made up of Paola Suhonen—founder of the Finnish fashion line Ivana Helsinki—and Olli Happonen of New Silver Girl—a rock band produced by Gordon Raphael (The Strokes, Regina Spektor, Hinds). The two created this duo project on a whim one night after meeting at a bar in Helsinki. Realizing in that moment that they were musical soulmates, they quickly wrote their first song and formed the band.

Lone Deer Laredo’s debut album, Vol. 1/7, released 3/13, was recorded at Alex the Great Studios in Nashville with producer/mixer Brad Jones (Josh Rouse, Dolly Parton). Working with legendary musicians like Chris Carmichael (Lionel Richie, Taylor Swift) and Jim Hoke (Emmylou Harris, Paul McCartney, The Beach Boys) Vol. 1/7 contains loveland ballads, songs of solitude, powerful stories of conquest, and melodies from the dark magic forests.
