Joe Slater Shares Heartfelt Ballad, ‘Rainbow’

Following his sold-out shows at Green Note, London and the famous Parr Street Studios in Liverpool last month, Joe Slatershares his heartfelt new ballad, ‘Rainbow’.

Inspired by a TV interview with Elvis Presley, ‘Rainbow’ commences with Joe’s sincere vocals at the forefront, before slowly building into a glorious rendition, complete with blues-inspired keys and contemplative echoes from the interview; “You can’t make a Rainbow without a little rain”, all whilst pulling focus to the innovative and stellar songwriting.

At just 22, the Liverpudlian newcomer continues to deliver a smooth saturating blend of rock, blues, and soul that is beyond his years, already picking up support from Tom Robinson at BBC Radio 6, Metro Liverpool and Fred Perry Subculture.

As well support from these online and radio tastemakers, Joe Slater is gaining a reputation for putting on a stellar performance, with his most recent show at Parr Studios in Liverpool being declared as “one of the biggest live music events that we [Parr Studios] have hosted.”

Joe released his five-track EP, ‘State of the Ark’ exclusively to British Airways – it is available on all long-haul flights and on iTunes.

The EP – recorded at London’s State of the Ark studios – was produced by Kipper Eldridge (Sting), mixed by Cameron Craig (Adele), and Mastered at Abbey Road.  Musicians featured include Robbie McIntosh (Paul McCartney / John Mayer) on guitar; Mat Hector (Iggy Pop / Grace Jones) on drums; Mark Neary (Noel Gallagher / U2) on bass; and jazz maestro Ross Stanley on keys.
