Today, indie electronic dream-pop trio Vök shares the video for magnetic single “Erase You,” off their sophomore album In The Dark, also released today via Nettwerk. Frontwoman Margrét Rán explains the song, which is beautifully choreographed in the footage about a relationship that takes a sinister twist: “‘Erase you’ is a song about a person who pushed me off the edge to a point when all I wanted to do was to erase them from my life, the lyrics are a bit naive but really straight forward which was the intention.”
Vök’s album singles “In The Dark,” “Erase You,” “Spend The Love”, “Night & Day” and “Autopilot” have garnered well over 2 million streams collectively across platforms already. The band was the #1 Most Posted Artist on Hype Machine for “Autopilot,” which went to #2 on the Most Popular Now chart there. The trio is on the heels of a string of highly successful live dates, including their U.S. debut with several concerts in select cities promoted byTaste of Iceland and in partnership with WFUV and KEXP, as well as their live performances at this year’s Iceland Airwaves Festival in Reykjavík.
