HEDEGAARD TURNS UP THE BASS WITH “SA-MY-D”

“SA-MY-D” marks a new beginning – a radical, but sure change of style – for the critically acclaimed Danish hit-producer, HEDEGAARD. He goes back to his musical roots; inviting the darkness, the club and especially the attitude back in his game.

The vocals are in-your-face and dirty and the beat on HEDEGAARD’s new single, “SA-MY-D”, is both heavier and harder than we have heard from the successful producer, for some time. HEDEGAARD says: “It’s for those who dare to be as they are and do not care what others think about them. “SA-MY-D” is a breathing hole and a counter-reaction to the “fake filter” many of us live in – or constantly relate to. It’s about what is genuine – to put one’s foot down to everything that you really shouldn’t be wasting your time on. ” Watch here

And it becomes true for HEDEGAARD on “SA-MY-D”, where the well-known deep bass is back in his production. “This is a completely new journey – a change of style back to the club – and a different sound universe that has opened up for renewed passion and inspiration in the music,” says HEDEGAARD about ‘SA-MY-D’, which is produced in interaction with friend and producer Matt Hawk.

HEDEGAARD broke through the sound wall with remixes of acts like Snoop Dogg and 50 Cent. Since then, it has become a large number of own hits – including ‘Happy Home’ featuring international star, Lukas Graham, which opened the doors to Scandinavia – and more than 200 million streams. HEDEGAARD is one of the most award-winning and recognized producer and DJ’s in Denmark.

‘SA-MY-D’ is to be followed by an EP later this Spring!
