Singer/songwriter Jesse Palter releases new video “Heavy Is The Crown” featuring Steven Schneider from The Broad City and You’re The Worst.  The video, directed by Jamie Lew, explores sexism, narcissism, and female empowerment, and drew inspiration from iconic MTV music videos, 90’s pop divas and VCR glitch art. The message is both a kind and aggressive reminder to cut the misogynistic, sexist B.S. out already. Check it out here.

Palter just released her debut EP “The Paper Trail,” which features five tracks of aggressive, piano-pounding pop/rock in the vein of Carole KingSarah McLachlan and Sara Bareilles.  Music Connection says “It reveals an artist of soul, vision and songwriting that is both joyfully infectious and heartrending.”

The project was produced by Doug Petty, a veteran keyboardist who has worked with Celine DionBritney Spears,Nick Lachey and Lisa Loeb. A high caliber of musicians are on the EP, including bassists Tim Lefebvre  (David Bowie’s Blackstar), and Alex Al  (Michael Jackson) and drummers Matt Chamberlain (Fiona Apple, Pearl Jam) and Aaron Sterling (John Mayer).

She’s gearing up for her full length album debut entitled The Paper Trail with an expected release date this year.
