Junodef share stunning new single ‘The Things In Front Of Me’
Originally from Lund, Swedish Post-Rock act Junodef’s unique sound draws inspiration from the likes of Chelsea Wolfe and Warpaintmixed with influences of Young Fathers and Massive Attack. New single‘The Things In Front of Me’ carries the same dark and brooding feeling, but light electronic drum beats and an airy but precise arrangement creates a counterpoint to the heaviness.
Following the successful release of single ‘Heights’, Junodef are putting out a song about confrontation and accepting defeat. ‘The Things In Front of Me’ addresses the lack of energy to fight, and the temptation to give up. Accepting that what we see as a loss or defeat, can sometimes be the only possible way forward.
“We have all been in that situation where thoughts like “I could’ve done more” or “If only I had…” are nagging in the back of our heads, and it takes time to come to terms with and surrender to the idea that things played out in an inevitable way.”
The single is released through AWAL and will be followed by a remix by Swedish lo-fi DJ XTCFLWR. This is a sequel to the bands ongoing interest in combining art forms and using collaborations to reach a broader audience and new depths in the art.
