“When the electronic music’s frenzy collapses with the heaviness of a rock show”. Since 2016, French outfit Vautour takes you into a unique experience, both auditory and visual.
Vautour confirms its concept and reveals two EPs. On one side, an electronic and rock effort in the way of their debut opus, compared to The Prodigy and Pendulum by the critic. And then, a strictly drum’n’bass instrumental record, sized for the nightlife, with influences such as Noisia, Mefjus or Chase & Status.
With a rising success for a few years now, the band is now back with a music video for the single “Nekhbet”.
While talking about “Nekhbet”, the band comments:
“The “Egyptian” theme came from the very “oriental” sound of the keyboard on the intro. We decided to develop the whole visual idea around this sound which was all we had at the composition of the track.
The characters of the music video and the lyrics evoke an awakening of the Gods. The latter are turning against humanity because of the disasters committed to their planet. Ancient Egyptian culture literally worshiped the land that greeted them. With the current conjuncture and the superstitious fascination around this people and that time, it was not hard to imagine the Gods’ anger at the situation of the world today.
As for “Nekhbet”, it’s just the name of the vulture goddess in Egyptian mythology! All references do not lead to a specific concept, it is rather different winks to increase the desired image.
This music video highlights the band in an element that it masters quite well: the live. Vautour is indeed a live electro band, that however offers a real rock show! Do not wait any longer and dive without further delay into Vautour’s exciting universe!
