Connecticut-based metallic hardcore outfit, Boundaries, debuted their latest single “My Body In Bloom”, as well as it’s official video, today via a premiere with Revolver Magazine. “My Body In Bloom” is a chaotic and terrifying concoction that exhibited how much Boundaries has been able to accomplish creatively over a very short time period as a band. On this vicious new offering, vocalist Matt McDougal guides the listener through the turbulent thoughts that occur in times of change – matching the band’s crucial balance of ferocity and dynamism. “My Body In Bloom” is the first single and title track from the band’s upcoming new EP, which is due out February 22nd on Unbeaten Records.
The accompanying video for “My Body In Bloom” was shot on the band’s recent winter tour, and displays how wild the their live performances have become. The band’s spring tour dates can be found below and the video can be viewed on YouTube.
Speaking about the new single, the band says:
“My Body In Bloom is an evaluation of my anxieties surrounding time and entering “adulthood”. There are a lot of decisions you only get to make once in life and you never get to live a day over again. MBIB is about being at the end of the “growing up” and seeing what you did with it while you had it.”
Boundaries were formed in 2015 and immediately began building an audience for their punishing live show. They combine gnarly beatdown tendencies with a touch of metal-tinged hardcore. Unforgiving and terrifying, the Hartford-based group have previously released two EP’s, Hartford County Misery and Spring Demonstration and have already shared the stage with acts such as Code Orange, Hatebreed, Dying Fetus and Knocked Loose. The 5-piece are only getting started and their label debut is now available for pre-order via Unbeaten Records.
